In 2010, to coincide with the opening of nine new nursing homes, Shannex launched its Philosophy of Service. Shannex evolved the Philosophy from client-centred to a client-directed approach to service and care. We no longer wanted to tell clients what life is like at Shannex, we wanted the client to tell us how life will be for them. Clients choose how they would like to live their lives and their choices are reflected in the service and care we deliver. The adoption of this new way of operating was a shift for many of us. It involves being flexible, open and accommodating at all times, in every circumstance. Our Philosophy of Service is our promise to clients and the backbone of our culture.

Our commitment, which is published and shared throughout Shannex and with every client is as follows:
