COVID-19 Update: April 3, 2020 – A message of gratitude to our valued community

To our valued community,

My message to you today is simple. It is one of gratitude.

To residents in all of our communities, thank you for your incredible spirit. Even though the measures we have put in place to protect you are challenging and many of you are worried, you remain strong and positive. You inspire us all and remind us every day why we work so hard to protect the communities you call home.

To family members counting the days until you can be with your loved ones again, we are very grateful for the support you have shown our team members. You are constantly finding new and innovative ways to send love to residents in our communities, even during these difficult times.

To every team member who comes to work each day, thank you for doing your best to keep residents safe and well and for looking after each other. The role you play is critical. I have heard many stories of employees going above and beyond, stepping up and demonstrating what it means to provide compassionate care and service in such challenging circumstances. We are grateful for your dedication and commitment. I know you could not do this without the support of your own family and am thankful for their generosity and patience as you do your part to care for residents.

There are many things we cannot control during this period of uncertainty. To face the hard days ahead, we must continue working together to stay safe and healthy by following physical (social) distancing principles, handwashing and monitoring yourself for symptoms. Every preventive action helps flatten the curve.
