Shannex Bridgeview Hall

Today, Shannex New Brunswick successfully opened Bridgeview Hall, a new 81-bed licensed long term care home located at 2390 King George Highway in Miramichi. The new home is located on the same campus as the newest Parkland Retirement Living community – Parkland on the River, which also welcomed its first residents earlier this month.

Bridgeview Hall became the new home to 81 residents from the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. Initially planned for April 1, 2020, the move was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But with the support from the Department of Social Development and a strong plan in place respecting all Public Health directives, the residents’ move was successful. Bridgeview Hall was designed with a neighborhood concept, providing improved accessibility for caregivers, friends and family. It offers a warm and cozy atmosphere and everyone have their own private suite. As part of this move, Shannex is also pleased to partner with the existing Miramichi Senior Citizens Home Board of Directors to continue the provision of Outreach Programs in the Greater Miramichi community. Together, we will look at growing the programs and making quality improvements so that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of more seniors.

The opening of Parkland on the River was also delayed by the pandemic, but with some restrictions in place, including physical distancing, residents are able to continue to move into the beautiful new campus. The 53 modern, private suites were designed for carefree and enjoyable living with a wide variety of amenities and social activities for residents to enjoy. Additional care and services are also available, along with 24/7 emergency response with staff on-site 24 hours a day.

Tremendous hard work, thoughtfulness and care went into delivering Bridgeview Hall and Parkland on the River during these difficult times. We would like to thank the people of Miramichi for welcoming us into your community; thank you to the residents and their families for their patience; and thank you also to everyone involved, including our new team members for their efforts and planning to ensure residents experienced a safe and enjoyable transition to their new home!
