Residents at Parkland Saint John will receive the Moderna vaccine at clinics scheduled for tomorrow, January 15, 2021.

The announcement was made by Dr. Russell at a media briefing today. Vaccine recipients will include Tucker Hall residents who live in the Mayflower Court, Simms Court and Rockwood Court neighbourhoods, and all residents who live at Carleton Hall, Howe Hall and Millidge Hall.

“We are grateful to Public Health for prioritizing residents in our Parkland Saint John community,” said Derek Green, Vice President, N.B. Operations. “We understand this may be disappointing to those who are unable to receive the vaccine at this time, but we know Dr. Russell and her team are doing their best to make decisions about vaccines with the safety of residents in mind. We must trust that it will happen as soon as it is safe to do so and we will be ready.”

Vaccine clinics will begin tomorrow morning and we have communicated information to all residents and families about how these will unfold.

It is our privilege to care for the most vulnerable people in our communities. We recognize that this comes with a great responsibility to safeguard their health and wellness and we appreciate that we will have the COVID-19 vaccine as another layer of protection at Parkland Saint John.
