Shannex is pleased to have been selected to build and operate two new 60-bed nursing homes in Moncton and Saint John, N.B.

“We are honoured to be creating two new communities for New Brunswick seniors who are in need of a home where they can continue to live fulfilling lives,” said Jason Shannon, President and Chief Operating Officer. “In our 32 years of operating nursing homes, our family company has seen the contribution seniors of all ages continue to make in their communities and we are committed to helping them do so by providing exceptional care and service in warm, caring and safe environments.”

In addition to being part of a larger campus, the new homes will also each have an indoor Main Street which is an innovative feature now in place at a number of Shannex nursing homes in New Brunswick. This popular concept allows residents to enjoy the experience of spending time on a small town street complete with a multi-purpose room that will serve as a chapel and theatre space, a hair salon, café and town hall. Construction will begin this summer and is expected to be complete in 2023.

Both new nursing homes will be part of Parkland Retirement Living campuses that offer a full continuum of service. Learn more about our Parkland communities.
